I wanted to surprise my daughter with a studio recording session which she recently had, it was very professional and the studio itself was very good and comfortable, we were able to sit and listen on the couch whilst my daughter recorded her song. It sounded amazing the team are very welcoming and they Airdropped us the recording immediately and then we waited a few more days to have the recording mixed and mastered. It sounds amazing! Would definitely recommend and will use again for her next song. Thanks Sherwood studios

I bought my daughter some studio time and a track mix as a Christmas present, and Sherwood Studios were excellent from start to finish.
Shan was friendly and helpful when explaining the service and even printed a lovely gift card. During the session, the music engineer, Tarun, was fantastic with my 13-year-old daughter — helping her feel relaxed, offering great advice on recording multiple takes, and making the whole experience really enjoyable.
It was a brilliant experience for her and something she’ll remember for a long time. Highly recommended.

It has been an absolute pleasure working with Sherwood Studios. I approached the studio with the aim to produce an online course. This was my first experience in creating one and the whole team at Sherwood were exceptional in helping me set up, film and edit each video to a very high-quality. They went above and beyond what I could have expected. The camera and audio equipment is exceptional and of the highest quality. I’d like to say a special thank you to Felix and all the other staff members at Sherwood.

I had a really positive experience at Sherwood Studios. From the start, Shan’s communication was both personal and highly professional.
The studio is set in a peaceful area, an ideal environment for recording. It’s fully equipped and has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that puts you at ease straight away.
Tarun was calm from the get-go. He gave me the space to deliver my best performance, while also offering guidance through his expertise. The final product, thanks in part to the Sherwood team’s mix and master, turned out to be even better than anticipated.
I’d highly recommend Sherwood Studios to both first-timers like myself and experienced professionals alike.

I’m not a camera person. In fact, I used to get properly nervous just knowing one was in the room. But when I stepped into Sherwood Studios to record a podcast with Tarun (the legend who runs the place) that all changed.
The space has this effortless, chilled vibe that instantly makes you feel at ease. It's professional without being stiff, creative without feeling chaotic, and yes, they’ve got chocolate on the way in which obviously wins bonus points.
Since that first podcast, I’ve been back a few times for other bits like photos, video content, you name it. Tarun’s not just pressing record and sending you off. He’s genuinely gone above and beyond, helping me with tips, guidance, and showing me how to create better content myself. That kind of support is gold when you’re running a business.
If you’re looking for a studio where you can show up, be yourself, and create properly good stuff in a space that feels safe and inspiring, Sherwood Studios is it. Big love to Tarun for making the whole process feel easy and actually enjoyable. Never thought I’d say that about being on camera.

I had the most wonderful experience at Sherwood Studios with Tarun and Shan and I highly recommend them! Right from the start, Shan who set up the arrangements was helpful, forthcoming and went above and beyond. On filming day, everything was so smooth. Tarun had clearly given deep thought to how my product would look, and had already set up most of the studio to ensure I had the best experience. Tarun worked tirelessly to ensure that my entire course content was recorded in just one day - which meant a long day with 9 hours filming! Tarun and Felix's involvement post-recording on edits has been just as hands on with no stone left unturned. The finished product has 100% met what I have been visioning for years and have struggled to find the right production team to bring to fruition. I am so grateful to the entire team at Sherwood Studios. Thank you - all of you - so much!

I had an amazing experience here and I cannot wait to return. The space itself is fantastic, combining top quality equipment with a chilled out vibe that I had not experienced at any other studio. Tarun was a great host who made me feel very comfortable and he really gets what us as artists want from a place like this.
I would highly recommend to anyone, no matter the level of experience.

im quite particular about the setting im in that makes me comfortable to write and this felt very natural and easy to be creative here,
also with tarun working with him is so easy as he is a beliver in the art and serving the art as best he can, thats something we share, ive been back there and will be back again!

Not many studios can compare to the professionalism audio quality and comfort of Sherwood. The building it is in in incredible, with private toilet and entire kitchen. Tarun is an incredible host with a range of high quality recording and monitoring equipment from UAD, Focusrite, Shure, Adam Audio to name a few. As a professional engineer, Sherwood exceeds what I need and is a lovely place to be productive - I will be here consistently for the considerable future!

Amazing. The place was very clean. I had someone called Tarun. He was answered all my questions, was really chill, inviting and he made you feel secure which would be good for you if you would be nervous singing in front of someone. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend it to all of you 100%.🔥🔥🔥

I’ve really enjoyed my time at Sherwood studios so far, working with Tarun and Jack has been such an amazing experience and will definitely enhance my career massively! I had the privilege of spending a week at Sherwood Studios for work experience, and I can confidently say it was one of the most enjoyable and memorable highlights of my year. What truly sets Sherwood Studios apart is their genuine focus on treating people as individuals rather than just another incentive.
Working alongside Tarun was an incredible experience.He not only imparted skills and provided opportunities that will benefit my music career, but he also emphasised the importance of understanding and accentuating the needs of others. The lessons I learned here go beyond just technical skills; they are life lessons that are invaluable.
I wouldn’t trade my time at Sherwood Studios for anything else and I cannot wait to see what big things are in store for the future.

Love working at Sherwood Studios with Tarun. It’s a really nice comfortable space, and Tarun is the best – really professional but calm and friendly and it’s always a pleasure to work with him. I have recorded an audiobook, a zoom live video broadcast to several thousand people and also recorded some pre-recorded video at his place. Highly recommend it!

Sherwood Studios is an excellent recording studio. This was my first time attending. I live in South London and travelled from here to Maidenhead. It was an easy journey which was on direct train, the Elizabeth Line. The location is ideal with a bus stop close by. It is a clean environment, with nice interior and facilities. I had an amazing time, the recording facilities are wonderful and the staff were top tier. I would recommend anyone looking to create content, you will feel in the good hands of good vibes and energy. I will definitely be a regular here. Thank you for having me, it was a pleasure!

Our Story
Why did we open a recording studio in Maidenhead? My name is Tarun Puri and I am the owner and founder of Sherwood Studios.
“My passion for music came from being sat in a recording session many years ago, watching my sister perform a demo of one of her songs at the time. The concept of being able to create something from nothing, whilst telling your own story is something special because music can be extremely powerful, in helping you find your own identity which can be hard for young people in todays society. There is a constant pressure to compare yourself with others on social media, which can be harmful in focusing on your own journey and development. Sherwood Studios provides a space, where your artistic growth and peace of mind is our primary concern. We are so excited to finally open our recording studio in Maidenhead, as we can now dedicate ourselves to nurturing creative talent.
I have been making music myself for over eight years, having amassed over four million streams on Spotify alone.
